MEDINA THEATRE ENSEMBLE PRESENTS
AS
A HOLOCAUST REMEMBRANCE
A STAGED READING PERFORMANCE OF
THE
INVESTIGATION
Written
by Peter Weiss
Directed by Sten Eirik
A stark, haunting play done as concentrated
recitation, in detached and precise detail, of the vilest atrocities, The
Investigation is an overwhelming dramatic experience. It is Weiss' ruthless
documentary of the Frankfurt Auschwitz trials, which he attended. These
proceedings, held in 1963-5 focused on the crimes perpetrated at Auschwitz.
Using the actual testimony of survivors as witnesses against those who exploited them and others, Weiss creates a riveting drama based on the trial.
